Habtoor Polo Triumphs the AHPC League in March 2023

The AHPC League was a week long tournament on the grounds of Al Habtoor Polo Club, which consisted of four teams – AM Polo, Bin Drai Polo, El Basha Polo and Habtoor Polo.

Qualifying Match Results:

28 March:
AM Polo vs. El Basha Polo: 6 – 3
Habtoor Polo vs. Bin Drai Polo: 8 - 5

30 March:
Habtoor Polo vs. El Basha Polo: 6 - 3
AM Polo vs. Bin Drai Polo: 7 - 6

The subsidiary final of the League had seen AM Polo taking the lead in the first chukker with 3 goals to 1 of El Basha Polo. The AM Polo team dominated the first half of the game, ending it with 4 goals to 3 by halftime. El Basha scored 2 more goals by the end of the match but it was AM Polo who maintained its lead with 3 goals and sealed the win until the final buzzer at 8 goals against 5.

Justo Cuitino of Habtoor Polo opened the final match of the day, as his team carved a two goal lead in the first chukker. The Habtoor Polo kept a strong hold until the halftime, with 6 goals to 0 against Bin Drai Polo. The red shirted players delivered two more goals in the penultimate chukker, and with the significant lead of Habtoor Polo against Bin Drai, was enough to take home the trophy as the League’s champion, as the game ended at 8 goals to 5.

Lukas Tremmel, General Manager of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort, awarded the teams with Felipe Dana from Habtoor Polo as the Most Valuable Player, and Canaria ridden by Justo Cuitino as the Best Playing Pony.
